Youth Scholarship Fund

ABOUT

The Board of Directors has started a scholarship fund for youth.  The goal is to provide a scholarship of $500 to one eligible youth.  UHHSA, Inc., started placing a minimum of $20/month in a scholarship fund beginning with July 2016.

The scholarship will be awarded when $500 is raised and youth members are active.

Youth entering into an agriculture-related field are given priority.  Scholarship funds will be for attendance at accredited colleges, universities, community colleges, and technical or vocational schools which are post-high school.

Youth will need to graduate high school or have a C average at the time of application (this may be waived under certain circumstances).  Other criteria will include an essay.  The Board of Directors will be awarding the scholarship and will publish the essay and winner’s name to the membership.

This is a one-time scholarship offer.  When future scholarships are offered by UHHSA, Inc., the recipient of the UHHSA, Inc. Scholarship will not be eligible to apply again.

Eligible youth are between ages 16 and 24 and must be active members with UHHSA, Inc., registered sheep in their name for a full year before their application.  In addition, for youth members under age 18 years at least one parent/guardian must be a member of the United Horned Hair Sheep Association, Inc.

Applications will be accepted once the minimum goal of $500.00 is reached and other criteria are met.  Please email uhhsa@yahoo.com or contact the office 937-430-1768 for additional information.
